The
March Meeting of the River Run Book Club was a rousing success as can be noted
from the previous posts by those who so enjoyed Stephanie’s hospitality. So here’s just a short note.
After
a great lunch Marilyn led the group in a review of Cat’s Cradle. What ensued
was a lengthy discussion regarding Vonnegut’s irreverent and humorous depiction
of serious subjects--some of which include truth, religion, and the end of the
world. We also had a brief grammar lesson
(thanks Marilyn) and wonderful desert, coffee, and lots of laughs.
Marlena
submitted the book choices for May. The
book we choose is “The Friday Night Knitting Club” by Kate Jacobs.
Am I correct that Stephanie will not be at the April meeting but will submit a book list for our June discussion?

has once again graciously volunteered the Inn for our April Meeting.
